Numerology

I was working at the music school yesterday. There were only a few lessons going on on Sunday, and as usual, Hefang would hang around and we would talk for quite some time.

She has been telling me quite a lot about Numerology and she even calculated mine for me yesterday.

For some of you who don't know what does Numerology means, here is the definition of it from Wikipedia:

Numerology is any study of the purported divine, mystical or other special relationship between a count or measurement and life. It has many systems and traditions and beliefs.

Numerology is like horoscope. You can choose to believe it or not. For me, I just see it as a "just for fun" thing. After telling my sis abt it, she asked me to help her calculate hers. I shall try doing it tonight :D

Numerology is calculated from your original and given name, as well as your birthday. So it's more personalised.

So now, I will talk about the analysis of my Numerology.

She had calculated stuff like Destiny #, heart desire/soul urge #, Inner dream/personality#, hidden behaviour and a lot more.

The analysis says that I'm an optimistic person and has great verbal skill. Optimistic wise, I agree, but for the verbal wise, I don't think I have it, or maybe it's hidden.. I don't know...

For heart desire number, here is an extract of what it say:
"You have a natural ability as a counselor and healer. You are an excellent listener, compassionate and understanding. You are able to both sympathize and empathize with a person's dilemma."

Really?

An extract of my personality number:
"You are hospitable and domestic. You love children and are a good parent. You are romantic, faithful and very protective. You are artistic. You love music, flowers and gardening. You are a natural interior designer. You have an excellent sense of color and taste. You are more concerned with the content of your personality than your appearance, which causes you to be less conscious of the style of your clothes. You are more interested in comfort and the utility of clothing than the statement it makes. "

Love children? There was once I told Chewyan that I would tape up my child's mouth if he/she makes a lot of unnecessary noise.
Concerned more about personality than appearance? Definitely NO. It should be the other way round.

Life path no. now:
"You are gifted with natural leadership and the capacity to accumulate great wealth. You have great talent for management in all areas of life, especially in business and financial matters. "

He fang and I have the same life path number. She have went to consult a Numerologist before and she said that people with Life path number 8 are good with numbers. People with life path number 1 and 8 are quite similar, just that people with life path number 8 are more flexible, and also more cunning. They will spend time plotting plans for people to fall into their traps. The chinese term for this is called "处心积虑", just like LiuBei, a character in the ancient china warfare period.
Well... maybe I can do that. HAHAHA.

Next is Karmic lesson. Things that I have to learn in my current life: These are the 2 karmic lesson that is missing in my life.

Your Karmic Lesson is 1

You need to show more initiative in your life. You must learn to be more determined.

Your Karmic Lesson is 4

You feel confusion about your life's direction. You will have to establish a methodical and disciplined approach. You need to create a foundation for your life. Otherwise, you will feel lost and tossed about by change.
You have trouble finding the work you do best. You tend to be somewhat impractical and disorganized. You look for the answers to life's problems outside yourself, rather than within.

I think I would agree to both of this. The issue about initiative only gets a little better after I've entered poly.
As for confusion about life's direction, yes it's true. I don't have a very clear picture about what I want to be next time and until now, I still don't know what is the work that I do best in.

Actually, there's a lot more analysis of numbers that I haven't touch on yet, but I will just skip it and explains the picture above. This is called "九宫格". As you can see, I have quite a few circles around the number 1, 3 and 9. 1 stands for leadership, 3 stands for artistic, 9 stands for compassion. I have 3 circles around #1, 4 circles around #3 and 3 around #9. The more circles you have around a number, the more you excel in that particular field. BUT, 5 or more circles around a number isn't good also. For example, if you have 5 or more circles around #1, you would probably end up like Hitler or Stalin.

If you want to know more about yourself, I can help you calculate too! Just that I don't know how to do the 九宫格 one.

Tuition

I'm starting to get really annoyed by that Pri6 student of mine.

The reasons are:
1. She doesn't do her homework

2. She doesn't learn her spelling

3. There were quite a few times when the tuition timing were set at eg. 2.30pm, she would call at about 2.20pm to tell me that she wanted to postpone the lesson to half an hour later. I'm like "HELLO? I DON'T LIVE NEXT DOOR. IT TAKES TIME FOR ME TO TRAVEL FROM TOA PAYOH TO AMK AND RIGHT NOW, I'M REACHING YOUR HOUSE SOON!" but of cos, I didn't say in that exact manner, but somewhat like that.

4. Tuition timing. Normally we would discuss about the tuition timing and decide on a day where both of us can make it. But recently, she keeps on complaining that she has remedials for most of the days. FYI, her remedials mostly end at 3.30pm and she would have time for tuition after 3.30pm. I'm liaising with her the tuition timing right at this moment via facebook chat. We have one tuition session set on Wednesday, and I can do another session on Mon,Tue, Thurs 7-9.30pm and Fri. I offered all the weekdays for tuition, but SHE TOLD ME "NO" (It means that either she cannot make it or she doesn't want it)

I replied, "I don't care. I've given you all my available timings and it's up to you to choose."

So now, she told me that she can make it at 4pm on one of don't-know-which-day.

I think she thinks that I'm waiting for her to give me a timing and any time she wants tuition, I would have to make it on that time.

URGH! SHE'S REALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES.

My 19th Birthday

As per the title, I'm going to update about what happened on my 19th Birthday. I was too lazy to update my blog for the past few days, so I dragged till now, after completing all my shows and the storybook I had bought from the secondhand bookstore from The Central.

So firstly, I met up with Chewyan at Bugis first. She wanted to get me some clothes as my birthday present, but there weren't anything especially nice. After walking around Bugis Junction and Bugis Street, we were both hungry and settled down at TCC. The waiting time for the food and drinks were super long. I think it took about 30mins for them to serve up everything we had ordered.

After eating this amount of food and the drinks, we were feeling super full. The "full" feeling didn't subside even after we reached the Italian restaurant at Liang Court for our dinner.

After eating the dinner, the cake was presented, along with a birthday song. I was surprised as I didn't know there was a cake and I didn't expect it either.

As usual, I was asked to remove one of the candles from the cake using my mouth. When I was doing it the first time, Junxing tried to push my head against the cake. Hence, I became super wary of the guys after that.

We went to walked around Clarke Quay after dinner and sat down by the river until it's 11pm+ when we all headed home.
And that was how I spent my 19th Birthday.

I used the bottle of nail polish that ChienNie has given me on my nails. And this is how it looks like.

After using the shatter nail polish, this is how it looks like.

Hot pink and black goes well together~

This is the birthday card Chewyan has made for me. With the wishes of others written inside.
I'm bringing special attention to this 6 words. “祝您快高长大” I find this funny. It makes me feels like 9 years of age, not 19.

Hard time

YEAH IT'S MINE BIRTHDAY NOW!

But the purpose of this post is not to announce that..

On sunday, which was a few mins ago, I was working at the music school. For the entire day, there were only 3 lessons. Hefang's (Guitar instructor) lesson ended at 4pm, and after her lesson ended, she accompanied me and we chatted till about 8pm with food that I had bought from Heartland Mall.

I've always like to talk to her. By the way, she's 30+ years old this year, but I still feel comfortable talking to her.

She is the only child at home. Her mum gotten married at the age of 42 and gave birth to her at the age of 43. Her mum suffered from miscarriage twice before giving birth to her. Her parents are really old and she has got a grandmother to support. Her dad is physically fine now, but her mum and grandmother are not in good health conditions. Her grandmother is constantly going in and out of the hospital. And lastly, she is the sole breadwinner of her family and currently, the hearing ability of one of her ears is dropping due to some unknown disease/infection.

I just think that this is crazy. She's having such a heavy burden right now but still has to carry on with life. I know that I'm lucky enough to have 2 siblings, although they really piss me off at times.

I feel that people shouldn't give birth to only one child. (Except for situation like Hefang's mum since it was already dangerous for her to give birth to 1 child) The burden they are going to put on their child in the future is totally crazy, especially if they suffered from illnesses in their later years--which is most likely the case.

Something random:
Since Singapore is trying to promote the idea of its people giving birth to save herself from an aging population, it just came into my mind that maybe this marketing idea would work. If they love their children, they shouldn't give birth to one. I know that this is super random, but it somehow shows that I'm a real business student XD

I wonder if I'm able to take on this challenge of life if I were her...

Marina barage and Kite Flying !

Met up with Elaine and Sharmaine today !

I met up with Sharmaine first at Cityhall to shop around. I bought a pair of jeans and a top at bershka. Spent a total of close to $70 for both items. I like the jeans a lot. Nice colour and comfortable. We bought sushi and pizza to Marina Barrage after that.

When we were on our way to take the shuttle bus at the bus stop, we walked on a muddy path and my feet and shoes were stained with mud. It was so disgusting!

Sharmaine and I waited at Marina Barrage for Elaine as she went to IMH for interview, and signing contract with the agent after that.

IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I WENT TO MARINA BARRAGE. I know I'm suagu..

Sharmaine and Elaine trying to set up the kite.

After Sharmaine's dad came to join us, he attached the long tail to the kite and started performing stunts

Nice sunset view at Marina Barrage, so I took a picture together with Elaine.

Elaine's pizza

Sharmaine's pizza

My pizza!

I prefer flying kites at night. It's easier to look up into the sky when it isn't that bright. Moreover, attaching LED lights to the kite and string and put it up into the sky is really nice.

The kite I'm controlling and the led lights attached to the string. Isn't it nice? It caught the attentions of many passer-by.

This is the present Elaine and Sharmaine got for me for my birthday.

TAADAA. The bag is the present that both of my lovely friends have given me. Those are the jeans and top I bought from bershka. I like the bag that they had bought for me. The size of the bag is one of those that I wanted to get long time ago. Small but not too small. And it's black! Easiest to match with clothing.

Overall, I enjoyed my day with the both of them. First time going to Marina Barrage, first time going for kite flying. Hope that there's more kite flying session coming up =D

Once in a while

I went NEX on friday to get my phone fixed again. I hate that lousy phone. It's the second time I'm sending that phone for servicing again. That means that I have to go back to NEX some days later to retrieve the phone, and also to install all the applications into the phone again.

After sending the phone for fixing, I met up with Kaixin. We walked around NEX for a while before going to Cineleisure for movie. Although Kaixin lives in Serangoon, it was the first time she actually took a walk around NEX.

That clever girl got 6As for her A level. Congratulations to her!

We went Cineleisure to watch "This means war". It's a good show that I would recommend to others. Kaixin and I were laughing throughout the show as it is so funny.

We went to this Japanese restaurant at Orchard Central to have our dinner. The portion was really big and the food is nice. Will definitely go back again next time. After dinner, we went fruit paradise for dessert. I only reached home at about 10+pm.

After this meet-up, I think the next time we are meeting will be another half a year later? Or maybe next year, before she goes overseas for further studies.

Finally updating again

I'm finally updating again!! After a long long time.

This is considered a post exam gathering I think. We went Scape for Kbox and Jpot @ Vivocity on Tuesday, 28th Feb 2012. I had a fun time with those adorable classmates of mine.

TAADAA~ My table had the cheapest bill out of the 4 tables. We were so proud of ourselves. But anyway we have small appetites, except Wendy Chin.

On 1st of March, Friday, Meizhen and Christine organised a Japanese Class outing. This was the first outing we had. We had lunch at Aoba, Vivocity and we sat there and talked for a very long time. Sensei bought us stickies as gifts and he even paid for portion of our meals. The bill totaled up to about hundred over dollars, but he only wanted us to give him $5 each. However, in the end each of us gave him $10 as we were 不好意思 to make him pay so much for the meals. Besides that, he had already bought us a small gift.

After we had settled the bill, we took individual photos with Moriyama Sensei. In the midst of taking individual photos, an indian lady just stood among us and another indian guy was holding on to a camera, wanting to take picture. They didn't even approach us and make a request to take picture with us, so we were shocked by their behaviours and got ourselves out of the camera screen after realising their intentions. When they saw us scattering around, they started to do sign language, wanting us to gather and take a picture with them. In the end, we took a picture with them, but it was definitely awkward.

After the photo session, Sensei left to meet his friends and we proceeded to a hongkong dessert cafe and went home after that. We had been classmates for only 1 semester, but there were really nice people and I really enjoyed being in the same class as them. I have been in 4 different japanese classes and the people in the other 3 classes are very clique-ish. But these people are different and I hope that we will be in the same class again.
