The day I had very much looked forward to finally arrived! Ever since the plan for the Genting Highlands trip had been nailed down, we had been talking a lot about it and looking forward to it.
On the first day of our trip, we met up to have Mcdonald's breakfast at Toa Payoh before heading off to Golden Mile to take our coach bus scheduled to leave by 7.30am.
As Ivan enjoys taking photos, we had been taking photos THROUGHOUT (literally) our trip from the start to the end.
These photos were taken in a cab, halfway through the journey when the bus stopped for a 20mins rest and while waiting at the lobby to check in to the hotel.
We took five-star tour bus up to Genting Highlands and the ride was horrendous. The bus was very bumpy and it made me felt uncomfortable. I don't recall that I had taken any bus rides bumpier than that to Genting Highlands before.
When we reached Genting Highlands, the temperature over there was just cool. We headed towards First World hotel to do our check-in. Although I had been to Genting Highlands for many times, that was the first time I'm doing check-in personally and we were feeling abit lost as the instructions weren't clear as to where to get the queue number for check-in. Finally, we figured out and got our queue numbers, but to realise that there was 50 queue numbers ahead till our turn. To make the wait less mundane, I went to buy starbucks and Ivan decorated those photos using my phone.
After the check-in was done, it was about 3 plus 4pm. We didn't do much for the day as we were both tired from waking up too early. As such, we also retired early for the first day.
